Our Role

The ASB Research Office is pivotal in supporting and advancing ASB’s research efforts. It serves as the primary liaison between ASB and research stakeholders, including funders, corporate partners, and other universities.

Additionally, as the central administrator and coordinator of ASB’s research centers and projects, the Research Office is responsible for seeking funding opportunities, assisting with applications, negotiating grants, providing financial oversight, and ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements.

Beyond administration, the Research Office coordinates the dissemination of research findings and actively engages with the broader research community to promote relevant and impactful research in Malaysia and beyond.

The ASEAN Research Center (ARC), endowed by Maybank, positions itself as a leading intellectual hub in Southeast Asia, conducting rigorous research to inform policy and enhance the lives of ASEAN citizens, with a strong focus on emerging markets.

With support from Sapura Energy, the Center for Technology, Strategy and Sustainability (CTSS) is a front-running research hub grounded in rigorous, high-impact research that explores how firms navigate strategic challenges and socio-political conditions.

Launched in 2019 with support from Procter & Gamble, the Center for Sustainable Small-owners (CSS) advances P&G’s Ambition 2030 by supporting smallholder farmers, improving livelihoods, and promoting responsible palm oil production.
